Seven things to do in Stiklestad in the tropical heat

The heat records are set to fall this week, yet several thousand spectators flock to participate in the Olsok days at Stiklestad. We have made seven good tips for things you can do in Stiklestad in the heat.
- Cool down in the church. Stiklestad church has thick stone walls, which keep the heat out. A nice place to cool off. Here you can experience both the historical buzz and beautiful murals, the concert "Våkenatt" in Stiklestad church with the Trondheim soloists and Gjermund Larsen and this year's Olsok conversation between Bishop Herborg Finnset, Sandra Borch and Mani Hussaini.
-
Eat ice cream with the director. Buy your favorite ice cream at the reception or in the restaurant, and enjoy it in the Olavsbiblioteket, which is quietly and coolly to itself in the hotel part of the cultural center. Perhaps you will meet our dear director who is out for the same occasion?
-
See Ståle Gerhardsen's fantastic Olsok exhibition. This year's Olsok exhibition is worth the trip to Stiklestad alone. Take in the exciting, creative, thought-provoking and playful art, combined with pleasant temperatures in the cool and cooled Leidang Gallery.
- Experience the "Game of Saint Olav". The audience is ecstatic about this year's game, the newspapers have given good reviews and it is surprisingly cool in the amphitheater. There is mostly shade throughout the performance and the aisle carries a nice breeze. Bring a bottle of water, cap or sun screen, seating mat and join in a magical gaming experience.

Get a professional top-up from Talerstolen Stiklestad. Ola Fjeldheim from the Fortidsminneforeningen gives the lecture "The best from yesterday? Cultural heritage preservation and democracy" in the auditorium at Stiklestad. The air conditioning works well here, and we have enough water for all visitors.
-
Enjoy cold refreshments in the restaurant. Restaurant Skalden sells both soft ice cream, slush and cold drinks. With all rights, it is possible to enjoy the tropical warmth either in the shade of the large parasols outside, or inside the cooled restaurant. Haven't you tried the new pizza? Then we strongly recommend it, preferably with something cold in the glass. Siblings Ole Anton Moe and Karen Ingeborg Moe put all guests in the right mood when they play at tonight's Olsokkro.
-
Water war on the "battlefield". Imagine the peasant army against Olav's men, armed with water balloons and water guns. Deliciously cooling and hysterically funny. Team up with your playful friends, bring water balloons and a water gun and recreate the battle in a water war version. We sponsor the water.
