Workshop in stage combat 24 and 25 May 2025
The game wants to develop the fighting part further, and therefore Kristoffer is now holding a course that goes into more depth on both technique and choreography, on May 24th and 25th.
Kristoffer Jørgensen is Norway's most experienced fight choreographer for theater and film. He has had major choreographic assignments at home and abroad, and has also been the fight choreographer at the Stiklestadspelet 6 times previously, and will be again in 2025.
He is a certified stage combat instructor through the Nordic Stage Combat Association and the International Fencing Coaches Association, and is a trained stunt performer from the United Stuntmen's Association International Stunt School in Seattle, USA. He has been a top-level international performer in stage combat as a competitive form, becoming world champion in 2008 and 2012.
Kristoffer has worked extensively with Viking Age weapons, both on stage and for film/TV, and was, among other things, the stunt coordinator for the TV series “Beforeigners” and “Olav” with Kristoffer Hivju.
The game wants to develop the fighting part further, and therefore Kristoffer is now teaching a course that goes into more depth on both technique and choreography.
We will work mostly with swords and shields, and if time permits, also discuss fighting with axes and spears. We will also look at fist fighting, takedown techniques, and safety rules.
The course is open to anyone interested in more expertise in the use of weapons and combat in theater, it concerns
experienced athletes who want a repetition as much as beginners.
