LAST CHANCE TO VISIT THE EXHIBITION "STIKLESTAD 1030"!

This week is the last opportunity for the public to visit the exhibition in the brick corridor at Stiklestad, which has been the Stiklestad National Cultural Center's main exhibition since the opening of the cultural center in 1992. We offer free of charge entrance to the exhibition from Wednesday 20th to Sunday 25th August!

"The original objects in the exhibition "Stiklestad 1030" are on loan from the Science Museum. They will now be returned to the Science Museum next week for conservation, and the exhibition is therefore closed to the public. We are currently working on a new, large main exhibition that will be completed by 2030. A new main exhibition is the main priority in the site-related museum development project."

Stiklestad for the new millennium which is our local initiative on the occasion of the National Jubilee 2030," says museum director at Stiklestad National Cultural Center, Ingegerd Eggen.

"We hope many of the local and regional population take advantage of the free admission offer and come to Stiklestad to see the exhibition one last time," she adds.

"Recently, we have been working on documenting the exhibition "Stiklestad 1030". This work has included everything from collecting old brochures, photos and anecdotes, and we have interviewed people who have been involved from the very beginning, in 1992. We have spoken to the architect, professional and director from the time the exhibition was created, and we have documented both the presentation, text and objects with film and photos. It is a main exhibition that has stood the test of time for many, many years and it is important for us as a museum that it is documented in a solid way", says Bodil Østerås, Head of Administration at Museene Arven.
