TRANG FÖDSEL HOLDS CLOSING CONCERT FOR OLSOKS DAYS 2026

We and Scandic Stiklestad are pleased to announce that TRANG FØDSEL will conclude the 2026 Oslo Festival with a concert in Borggården on July 29th.

This will be the very last concert in Borggården's history, before the renovation towards 2030 begins.

The same year that Trang Fødsel was established, Borggården in Stiklestad had its grand baptism of fire, with the Olsokorkesteret and local soloists, and the newspaper reported great success. For over 30 years, Borggården has been an arena that has given us great musical experiences, but now Borggården will become Borggårdstua, a new beautiful indoor multi-purpose arena that will be completed by 2030. Åge Aleksandersen, Melissa Horn, Odd Nordstoga, Di Derre, CC Cowboys, Anne Grete Preus, Trygve Skaug and many more have filled the venue with atmosphere, and now it is Trang Fødsel who is closing the series.

Trang Fødsel, who are as old as the cultural center, were established in Bergen in 1992, and have since won a large audience with their Norwegian-language pop music. Their big breakthrough came with the album Hybel in 1997, and many have probably sung to Kursiv from the first album.

Trang Fødsel is the very sound of Norwegian summer!

Hans Petter Aaserud is at the forefront of an explosive trio that serves up Norwegian superhits that hit the heart and soul of the people - with songs like Kursiv, Drømmedame, Hippie, Fredag and Livet er helt ålreit, there is guaranteed to be a sing-along and a great atmosphere.

With large doses of playing joy and tight pop harmonies, Trang Fødsel can quickly become a warm Norwegian summer evening, as the band sings: "Fuck me the best thing that's happened to you!"

"The Battle of Stiklestad will pale in comparison to this concert," the band says in a comment, adding that "they are very much looking forward to shining a light on such a historic place."

«As this is the last concert in Borggården, we expect that many will take the opportunity to cleanse their voices and join in on a concert with a high sing-along factor.» says Lars Børre Hallempress contact and museum liaisonHallem also reminds us that there will be no extra concert, so all you have to do is secure your ticket."t.We believe that the 2026 Olympic Games and the closing concert in Borggården will provide new, good memories.", Hallem concludes.

The 2026 Olympic Games will be held July 24-July 29.

The exhibition will be located over two floors where the current conference hall is located. In this context, Borggården will be rebuilt into Borggårdsstua, a year-round multi-purpose arena that can have one large hall or five smaller halls.
