Ingunn Beate Strige Øyen

Ingunn Beate Strige Øyen from Inderøy graduated from the Norwegian Academy of Theatre in 1992. She was employed for many years at the Norwegian Theatre and is now a permanent employee at Trøndelag Teater. She has played several major roles, including Cathrine in Shipping under the sea by Arthur Miller, Richard II Richard II by William Shakespeare, Ingrid in No and no again by Nina Lykke, and recently Blanche in Tram to Desire by Tennessee Williams.

Ingunn has also made several productions in film and television; beforeigners, witch Hunt, Everyone hates Johan og Billionaire Island. I fjor var hun også aktuell med en rolle i den Oscar-vinnende filmen Affectionate value av Joachim Trier.

She received the Hedda Award for Best Actress in a Leading Role in Richard II i 2006. Til høsten blir hun å se som mor Åse i Peer Gynt på Trøndelag Teater.

This is Ingunn's 13th year in The Saint Olav drama. Hun startet som danser/gårdsfolk, videre som Helga, og nå for sjette gang som Gudrid.
