Ingunn Beate Strige Øyen from Inderøy graduated from the Norwegian Academy of Theatre in 1992. She was employed for many years at the Norwegian Theatre and is now a permanent employee at Trøndelag Teater. She has played several major roles, including Cathrine in Shipping under the sea by Arthur Miller, Richard II Richard II by William Shakespeare, Ingrid in No and no again by Nina Lykke, and recently Blanche in Tram to Desire by Tennessee Williams.

Ingunn has also made several productions in film and television; beforeigners, witch Hunt, Everyone hates Johan og Billionaire IslandShe is also currently in talks for a role in Affectionate value by Joachim Trier, premiering September 12th.

She received the Hedda Award for Best Actress in a Leading Role in Richard II in 2006.

This is Ingunn's 12th year in The Saint Olav dramaShe started as a dancer/farmer, continued as Helga, and now for the fifth time as Gudrid.

Ingunn is also currently playing Tyri in Anna in the Wasteland in Engerdal with premiere on August 6. She will also be joining the family show Itj no` crush at Trøndelag Theatre with premiere on October 15th.
