The maturity loan
Trønderlån from the farm Stiklestad midtre, built in the 1850s by the Moksnes family.
Comes from: Central Stiklestad
Age: Built in the 1850s
To the museum: 1987
This building is a trønderloan, made of timber that is boarded up on the outside. Slate (alta slate) has been laid on the roof. It has two floors with a spacious dormer in addition. The floor area is 22,5 x 6,5 m, i.e. almost 150 m².
The loan is typical of trønder loans that were built in the middle of the 1800th century, long and narrow. The main entrance is slightly to the right of the center of the building. Inside the kitchen it was originally horror. The entrance and the rest of the exterior, in Empire style, still stand as the building appeared in the 1800th century.
When the building was set up at the museum, a full basement was created. It has later been used for exhibitions, workshops and warehouses.
When the building is normally called Moksneslåna instead of Stiklestadlåna, it has to do with the fact that the Moksnes family lived in central Stiklestad when the house was bought.
