Stiklesta vaporiet
The open-air stage and the amphitheater south of Molåntunet were built for the "Game of Saint Olav", but are also used for other events.
At most there have been close to 10.000 people in the amphitheater, there is ample seating for 5.500. The stage also has plenty of space for large stages, so that Stiklestad has the largest facility for open-air theater in the Nordics.

The Equestrian Statue
Behind the amphitheatre, we find an equestrian statue cast in bronze and made by the sculptor Dyre Vaa. The statue came into place in 1973 and depicts Olav the Saint, Norway's eternal king "Rex Perpetuus Norvegiae". The king is depicted as a Viking chief on horseback with a gold cross in his arm raised towards the sky.
This is one of two equestrian statues in Norway, the other stands in front of the castle in Oslo and represents Karl Johan. The equestrian statues thus symbolize the importance the battle of Stiklestad in 1030 has had for the monarchy in Norway.
The army house
Next to the amphitheatre, you will find the Hærmannshuset. It was primarily built as wardrobes and storage for props for the "game". At other times of the year, the house is used by the volunteers and events of various kinds, for example it is full during the big Christmas event "Christmas Again".
