Stiklestad Golfklubb's course at Trones in Verdal is a very scenic 18-hole forest and park course located on a peninsula in the Trondheimsfjord.

Scandic Stiklestad is located on the site where Olav the Saint fell in 1030. The hotel was opened in May 2007, and with this the millennium-old meeting place got a state-of-the-art hotel with 49 large standard rooms, 4 standard plus and 4 superior rooms. 5 of the rooms are adapted for the disabled, and these all have the option of a connecting room for a companion. The hotel has a direct connection to the Stiklestad National Cultural Center and is designed in the shape of the cultural center's shield.
