Stiklestad Golfklubb's course at Trones in Verdal is a very scenic 18-hole forest and park course located on a peninsula in the Trondheimsfjord.

Scandic Stiklestad is located on the site where Saint Olav fell in 1030. The hotel opened in May 2007, bringing state-of-the-art accommodation to the thousand-year-old meeting place. The hotel is directly connected to the Stiklestad National Cultural Center.
