Without food and drink, as is well known, the hero cannot do. In Restaurant Skalden, you can enjoy the atmospheric surroundings while you fortify yourself with a snack and something good by the glass.
Welcome to Restaurant Skalden
Restaurant Skalden is open every day throughout the year, with the exception of a few Easter and Christmas closed days. Here you can buy everything from a cup of coffee to cakes, snacks and dinners. We also offer catering.
Versatility is our main strength. The restaurant supplies all the food for our experiences in the museum houses. When we have company or large groups visiting, we also use all or half of the conference hall and restaurant Heimskringla in the hotel building for serving.
Restaurant Skalden's beautiful premises have a view of Stiklestad church & the Stiklestad area, and can accommodate 120 people. Here you will also find a large outdoor terrace which is a popular hangout on warm days.
The hotel focuses on environmentally friendly operation. We take conscious responsibility for exactly how we affect the environment, and are Swan-labelled.
